“Очень уютное место для проживания в Киото за весьма адекватные деньги”
The hotel was very good with a spacious room. I got a room with an excellent view of the city and the tower. The bathroom was separate. The room had a coffee machine with capsules, a kettle, and a fridge. Overall, the room was very pleasant. The breakfast was excellent and recommended; it’s hard to find comparable breakfast at a similar price in the area. There are several supermarkets near the hotel, and the metro entrance is right at the hotel. The metro ride to Fushimi Inari Shrine takes 20 minutes, which is great because you should arrive before six in the morning to explore comfortably. The only negative is that there is no way to pay by card at reception. Breakfast operates until 10, but the last entry is strictly at 9:30; at 9:40 you won’t be let in no matter what. That wasn’t a problem for me because I wake up early, but keep it in mind if you like to sleep in. Also, there are no good places to eat near the hotel—this is a general issue in Kyoto, where the center is very touristy and food options are poor. To eat well, it’s recommended to head north of Kyoto and look for places without English signs; those are likely to be good.
