Our stay went well, thanks to an exceptional host who went out of her way to ensure everything was good. A minor bathroom issue was quickly fixed by the staff, who made sure we were cared for. The Goryu Resort is just a 10‑minute walk away.

This warm, cosy, and unique house is run by a lovely mother and son. The rooms are big and warm, and the attached restaurant serves excellent sashimi and sushi bowls. The Concrete bar feels like a slice of Tokyo nightlife in sleepy Hakuba—great fun.

The staff are extremely kind and welcoming, always ready to help. Tell them the night before if you need a ride to the ski resort or anything else and they'll do their best to arrange it. Both the Japanese and Western breakfasts are homemade, with many options and exceptionally tasty. The kaisendons for dinner are also a must‑try. I highly recommend this place to everyone.
