We were blown away from the instant we stepped in—this family ran homestay made us feel instantly at home. The room was roomy, comfy, and stocked with an iron and ironing board, while the shower was warm and the view simply stunning; it was the ideal spot to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast at the on‑site restaurant was tasty, with plenty of options, and we were disappointed we missed lunch and dinner because we only stayed one night and kept exploring. What truly set this place apart were the staff: they were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind, going the extra mile to show us local walks and nearby villages, and always ready to share tips. Communicating via WhatsApp was a breeze, and they supplied great local info, not just for the area but for other Sri Lankan sites we visited. When we needed a lift to our next hotel, they offered to drive us without asking for payment, underscoring how genuine and lovely this family‑run homestay is. We wish we could have stayed longer and would 100 % recommend it to anyone visiting Sri Lanka—a beautiful place, wonderful people, and authentic Sri Lankan hospitality. ❤️🇱🇰 Nothing negative; it was brilliant.
