Every room, bed, shower, and breakfast were spectacular—everything was perfect in a 1600‑s‑old palazzo. The only issue was that getting there by car was difficult. Still, they picked us up at the Duomo square and escorted us to the hotel parking.

It's hard to find a more beautiful and picturesque spot than this; everything is great, and it’s a unique place to experience Matera. The staff are super friendly, and the owner himself walks around and shares stories. The breakfast is very homemade and excellent. Thank you. I would have stayed longer if I could.

In the old town, you can see caves nearby, especially at night when the view is better. The third‑floor balcony offers a nice view, but the breakfast restaurant is far away. The walls are covered in paintings, giving the place the feel of an ancient duke’s castle or palace. The room and sheets felt dirty; an extra duvet never arrived, so I had to fetch it myself.

The décor is lovely, the bedding quality is high, and the place is quiet. The walk to breakfast required crossing several large, beautifully decorated rooms filled with fine furniture and paintings. The breakfast itself was very good. The TV was outdated and didn’t work.
