Every single aspect exceeded my expectations.
The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed.

The room is spacious, the food is excellent, and the spa facilities are clean and very relaxing; there was nothing I didn’t like.
“Poor, won’t be going back”
The breakfast might be the only decent part of the stay. The suite itself was subpar—bed and pillows were poor, the bath felt dated and worn, and a plug didn’t work. The evening meal was terrible: a chicken tikka curry that turned out to be just a microwave dish, which was a shock. Compared to other spas like Seaham Hall and Ramside, the spa here was very small and disappointing. The gym was okay but lacked equipment. Late checkout was better than some spa hotels if you needed more time, though we didn’t use it. Check‑in starts at 3 pm, but the facilities open at 1 pm, which is nice if the spa area was worth arriving early—though it wasn’t. The hotel and grounds themselves are a charming old manor that would be great for wedding photos. Overall, it falls short of other spa hotels, so we won’t return.
“Good value but do remember to book a table in the restaurant”
The building and the staff. The rooms were a bit run down, peeling wallpaper, the curtains were dirty. Couldn't book a table in the restaurant as we were travelling a long dustaand couldn't be sure what time we would arrive. Sat in the bar for our meal but because they were extremely busy had long waits to be served. My husband was very pleased with his meal but my pizza main was not really cooked properly
“Excellent as usual!”
The price, breakfast, spa access, location, free parking, and internet all hit the mark, and there was nothing negative.
“Overpriced for what you get. Would not recommend and would not go back”
It looks lovely from the outside, but inside it was dirty, smelly, and noisy.
