The spot was spot on, right in the heart of the Spanish Quarter. My room was on the first floor and grabbing the keys was a breeze. Getting there was easy thanks to the Toledo metro stop. The downside was a broken window that had been taped up, and the bathroom was tiny with a shower that smelled bad.

Nothing good, everything bad! The cleaning was terrible—ants in the beds, on the floor, and in the bathroom. The shower was filthy, towels fell apart, and the housekeeper never showed up. The owner never appeared, the price didn’t match the place, and the Wi‑Fi didn’t work.
