Central location, extremely friendly staff, clean and industrial style, excellent Wi‑Fi. The pillows were too high.

The Westory Design Poshtel in Kanchanaburi is a posh hostel inspired by the city's railway heritage. Located near the Jeath War Museum and Death Railway, it offers easy access to famous landmarks. Free WiFi is available. The hostel features private and dormitory-style rooms with air conditioning and shared or private bathrooms. On-site staff assist with city information and tour arrangements, and the night market and railway station are within a 15-minute walk.

Large bed, facilities were pretty good for the price and most staff were helpful. The staff explained the problems we had and I guess the price reflects the disturbances. Really loud music from about 10 pm to 2 am; we couldn’t sleep the first night and ear plugs did nothing. The rest of the time we played white noise from a speaker very loudly and managed to sleep okay—recommend doing that if you have it. The beds were also rock solid, which is typical for Thailand, but we slept well once the above issues were sorted. We, however, had no back problems. The food is expensive and not to our liking.

The faucet in the sink was leaking a bit.

I liked the stay overall, enough to extend and rebook after a stopover in Kanchanaburi. However, the checkout left a bad impression: they demanded extra payment for a 12:30 drop‑off, a half‑hour extra that felt petty, especially with two kids and the hotel being empty in off‑season. I didn’t argue and just paid, but the behaviour was unprofessional and could turn away customers.

The price is reasonable, but the location is directly opposite the club.
