“Séjour charmant”
The hotel was comfy and charming, with helpful staff. The breakfast was very good and generous with fruit. A special shout‑out to the adorable little cats in the courtyard.

The breakfast was very good, and the location near the lake was convenient. The room was dark. We were three couples, and one of the rooms wasn’t very clean.

No hi aneu!. Ens han robat! Mentre esmorzàvem ens van agafar alguns bitllets dels bolssos que teníem a l'habitació. The staff were very nice, but not the owner. Warning: money is stolen from the rooms! Theft! Unfortunately, I only read the reviews after booking, and it seems to happen often, especially to women. Because I was warned, we didn’t take all our cash to the market, so we counted the bills carefully, hid them in different spots, and prepared the backpacks (tucked a shirt over the zipper, noted the zipper position). When we returned, we saw someone had tampered with them. We confronted the owner and checked again. Four of the twelve bills were missing – 20,000 Rupia, about 50 Euro. It was subtle if you’re not expecting it. We got the money back from the owner’s pocket, supposedly from his workers, and he paid it back. The owner is brazen, unsympathetic, and a terrible liar. We can only warn you before a stay. It ruined our day in Kandy. The seemingly cheap price for Kandy’s small rooms without real windows and plastic mattress covers isn’t worth the hassle.
