The room was so comfortable that I felt completely relaxed.

The room was spotless and nicely decorated, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a microwave that wasn’t listed—great for convenience. However, the key was left in a very obvious spot under a lot near the back, and several people in the adjacent car park saw where I got it from, which feels unsafe because anyone could have taken the key or copied it and entered the building at will. The location itself isn’t great, especially at night. The mattress was poor; a decent topper would improve it. There was no muslin curtain for daytime privacy, so the curtains had to stay shut all the time, and the curtains let in a lot of streetlight at night, keeping me awake; properly lined curtains that cover the window edges would help. Breakfast was very poor—just a pot of instant porridge and a biscuit, far worse than what the Travellodge offers. This place shouldn’t be advertised as a B&B, as it isn’t one. The tea service on a slate or plastic tray made a lot of noise; a wooden board would absorb noise better, and a padded mat would be even better. I stayed in the small, oddly shaped room, and the door lock was extremely noisy when unlocking and locking at night and early morning. A bolt lock on the inside would make the room safer, as anyone could pick a standard lock.

The room was really nice, the owner was very friendly, and it was close to the train station and local amenities—everything was spotless and modern. The only issue was that the toilet in the room didn’t work, but there was another bathroom just down the corridor, so it wasn’t a problem. I used the toilet at night, was half‑asleep, and forgot to flush, which I apologize for.

I was welcomed warmly and the room was comfortable. The staff gave good suggestions for where to eat. The only downside was the extreme noise from the road—loud music, revving and backfiring engines. I had to keep the windows open because it was hot, and a fan would have helped.
