The hotel feels luxurious with a large lobby and spacious rooms, and plenty of facilities; the city view is nice. However, it hasn’t been renovated in a long time, and as a former smoker I noticed a strong cold cigarette smell in the room. I asked the front desk to switch rooms and they immediately offered me a replacement, which I really appreciated.

The room was somewhat comfortable, and the staff were friendly, though some staff members were hesitant to speak English, so we had to wait for someone who could. The smell of smoke was strong and kept coming through the vent from the top, and the walls were too thin to be soundproof; people next door kept knocking on our wall while we tried to have a conversation.

The hotel is right on the metro station, and all tourist sites in Changsha are very accessible. The spacious room with a large window offers a beautiful view of the city.
