The riad is very beautiful and relaxing, with friendly, smiling staff. It’s perfect for a quiet break while staying close to the city. Breakfast is tasty and filling. Unfortunately, the à la carte meal we had on arrival was not good – cold fries, insufficient portions, and dry chicken.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Iguana Azul! The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the area, and the hotel itself is exceptionally clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The staff were absolutely wonderful—so friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. They also arranged our transportation to Casablanca Airport, and everything went smoothly, making our departure completely stress-free. A lovely place to stay, with a great combination of comfort, convenience, and genuine hospitality. We would happily recommend it!

The location is ideal for a pause, stepping away from Essaouira’s bustle yet only 15 minutes away. There’s a pool, sunbathing, and a spa on site. The riad is beautiful, and the Moroccan breakfast buffet in front of you offers a huge sweet and savory selection. The welcome with traditional tea was lovely, and the pool is a good size for swimming. The downside is the frequent barking of dogs during the night and early morning for rooms in the second riad facing the spa.
