We spent one night at Casa de Djedja before catching our flight to Sal. The staff were more than pleasant; thanks to them for their availability and kindness. If we’re ever back in Mindelo, we’ll definitely return.

This hotel is a rare find in Cape Verde, with its décor, location and staff making it exceptional, though the rate feels a bit steep.

The location is superb, the breakfast is great and varied, and every staff member from cleaning to the kitchen to the front desk – Patrícia, Charlina, Marco, and Patrick – is efficient and very friendly; all the recommendations and program suggestions worked out wonderfully, from restaurants to guides for Santo Antão and turtle‑diving, making it the best place to stay during a trip to Mindelo.
