The location would have been great, but the accommodation was missing and we found locked doors; we lost our money, and luckily the place would have been cheap—sad that it wasn’t removed; the people in Kenmare were helpful and helped us find another exceptional place.

I was left stranded after the host cancelled our booking the day we arrived in Kenmere; the place looked abandoned and it seemed no one had stayed there for a long time. We had no accommodation after a 6‑hour drive, and the host kept advertising availability, took our money, then cancelled just before check‑in. We ended up sleeping in our car, and even after telling them the problem we still haven’t received a refund. This weekend, meant to celebrate our anniversary, was ruined.

It was a total nightmare: no one showed up to let me in, and the phone number given didn’t answer. I called and emailed repeatedly but was left without accommodation. I was charged and never refunded, and now I’m fighting to get my money back for a stay that never happened. I eventually found a place to stay by talking to people in a pub. There should have been someone there to let me in.
