The photos promised a charming cabin with an ensuite, but what we got was a 50‑year‑old shack with no proper bathroom at all. It was a clear mismatch between what was advertised and what we actually experienced.

I’ve stayed at caravan parks all over Australia and they’re usually tidy, but this place was a nightmare. The cabin we booked had an ensuite that was filthy—trash on the floor, a broken toilet, dirty floors, holes in the screen, a terrible bed, lights full of dead bugs, and curtains that looked moldy. The cabinets were chipped and worn. We left after one night and got a refund for the second.

It felt like a Canadian log‑cabin caravan park—great facilities, friendly staff, and a quiet, safe spot for families or solo travelers. The only downside was the lack of air‑conditioning; at least there was a fan.

The place was quiet, but the high, backless metal stools were a problem for older folks.

The cabins were top‑notch; we stayed in the small one called Mackenzie. The toilets were spotless, the camp kitchen was excellent, and we cooked breakfast on the barbecue—everything was neat and well cared for. The check‑in was quick and efficient. The only issue was the timber bottom step on Mackenzie that needs fixing.
