Everything: the peace, the room, access to the lagoon, the staff, the cleanliness. I recommend the rooms closest to the lagoon. The room we chose had no AC, which worried us a little, but it wasn’t necessary; the wind blows through the mosquito net and the room had fans. The place has a restaurant. It’s not a problem, but note that it’s 2 km by dirt road from the highway. For us it was fine; it’s worth it.

I was looking for a connection with nature and found it; it’s not for everyone, but I can say that this beautiful place is a little piece of universe created for enjoyment. I have a work schedule and have to leave, so I can’t return soon, but I will as soon as I can.

I stayed here to celebrate my birthday. The place is super pretty, away from Bacalar, so it’s quiet. There’s a lookout where you can see sunrise and sunset. The cabin I stayed in was at the foot of the lagoon, very nice, though they say rain can let water in. The shared bathrooms were clean. The staff were super friendly. Sometimes they take a while to attend you at the restaurant; I had to stand to ask for a menu, otherwise everything was fine.
