The room was basic but tidy, and it’s close to the beach. The area has plenty of restaurants and shops within a 5‑10 minute walk, making it a solid value for the price.

The staff were friendly, though the lighting was a bit low.

Many aspects were good and the proprietor Grace was professional and courteous. The only issue was that the room had a television.

The cottage is set in a nice garden with a small private outdoor area. The room is cozy and there is also a small kitchenette equipped with everything needed: dishes, glasses, cutlery, towels, dish soap, sponge, fridge, stove, various pots. It was a very pleasant stay and I recommend it.

It was my first time in Kenya and I’m very satisfied with our choice of accommodation—just a few minutes’ drive from Ukunda airport. The reception was warm and welcoming, and we were immediately checked into our cottage. I wanted authenticity and closeness to nature, and that’s exactly what we got. The green, well‑maintained grounds were clean, and the room had all the comforts and a kitchen that mattered to us. Shops, a small market, and cafés were a 5‑minute walk to the left. On the right, a 5‑minute tuk‑tuk ride brought us to a large supermarket and a Safari.com mobile office. The beach—Diani Beach—was also 5 minutes away, where you could swim all day. The tides were incredibly beautiful, and there was shade from trees along the beach. The market had everything you need and gorgeous pineapples, the biggest and sweetest I’ve ever tasted. For any questions, we went to the reception where Grace and Johnson always helped with information. They were very responsive and hospitable. Mary handled the room cleaning. Everything was on point. When we needed to go to Mombasa station, the reception booked a taxi; driver Dan took us in a comfortable car, brought us to the station, and helped print train tickets. We’re very grateful to him and everyone at this wonderful place. I’d love to return—it feels very homely, comfortable, and peaceful. By the way, a quick landmark to find it is right next to La Terrace restaurant and across the road is the post office.
