The staff were wonderful, really helpful and pleasant. The room was spacious with a nice view. There was absolutely no sound insulation; I had a room with a door inside to another room and could hear everything from that room and from the main corridor—really, really noisy.

The bathtub instead of a shower—used as a shower—worked great for us; the room otherwise had superb amenities—kettle, coffee machine, fridge, iron/ ironing board, TV with seating, desk—excellent view toward the Rhine and Düsseldorf, wonderful bed—very good, great bedding. Breakfast was very extensive, something for everyone—perfect—and we were even allowed to stay longer because we were a bit late. Everything was clean, all staff extremely friendly. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent, especially thanks to the Riverbar team. My husband and I met here on 13.10.13 at the then Swiss Hotel. On 13.10.26, 13 years later, we came together again after a long time to celebrate. The team created a fantastic evening for us. Thank you very much! Nothing to complain about.

The staff and location were very good. The room size was huge. Breakfast was great. The bathroom was outdated, not well dust‑cleaned. The windows were extremely dirty; cleanliness could be improved. The bed had a loose footboard, so when we set it on the bed end it collapsed; we had to fix it ourselves.

I was impressed by the view, but there was no parking available and the trash bins were missing garbage bags.

The prices at the hotel bar were outrageously high, with a single bottle of water costing 15 €—something we’ve never seen even in upscale hotels. A hotel of this class should offer guests fair and understandable rates instead of such extreme drink prices that cause frustration; we found this pricing an absolute audacity, a level of rudeness not encountered in any international luxury hotel so far.
