The location is on the right side of the station and the ladies were helpful; one was kind enough to buy a ticket with me while the other booked tours for me because the online system keeps giving errors. The apartment lacks a mini‑fridge and the Wi‑Fi signal is weak.
“Ein interessantes Hotel”
After staying a few days in Guangzhou before coming to Guilin, I would have rated this hotel lower if it were my only experience there; after two other very bad hotels in Guilin, this one feels fresh, affordable, clean, nice, and even a bit creatively designed. It feels like a “check‑list” game: everything is there, but always with an “but.” There’s a window—outside is a wall. There’s a smart‑home system—voice control often doesn’t work. There’s a bathtub—sits next to the coffee table, etc. Many good ideas, but never really finished. In the end, it leaves a feeling of helplessness.
