Located on the riverfront in Siem Reap, Ta Prohm Hotel & Spa offers stunning views of a nearby park and garden. This 6 km distance from Angkor Wat Temple Complex and Siem Reap International Airport makes it an ideal base for exploring the area. The hotel features wooden flooring, cable TV, and minibars in its air-conditioned rooms, some with private balconies overlooking the river.

The hotel is incredibly beautiful, with an old‑French exterior and inside filled with stunning carved sculptures and paintings. The staff were very friendly and service‑oriented. It’s comfortably positioned by the river and close to the night market. There was construction noise; if you want a quiet room ask for one. There aren’t many power outlets, so we borrowed a multi‑plug extension cord.

The location was great and the facilities were clean. However, it shouldn’t be rated as a 4‑star hotel. The brand‑new sheets had hair all over them, there were stains on the wall, bathroom, and towel. The window doesn’t close fully; it’s too small, and pulling it to the left opens the right side and vice versa. I could see the trashcan from the room. The shower head was only up to my shoulders – I’m 1.70 m (5’7”) – so it was too low. The towel rod was crooked, the light fixture was off, and the bathroom fan vent didn’t work.
