We stayed in a 17th‑century stone house built into the mountainside, perfect for hot weather, just a 5‑minute walk up a mountain path from the forest line. The host hauled our luggage in a jeep, and we parked on the asphalt road’s lot (the last 2 km are steep switchbacks). Guests could use the upper floor, which has three bedrooms and a large living room with kitchen, while the host runs a restaurant on the ground floor on weekends and offers the terrace for meals with mountain views during the week. The tap water is Bracca spring water, sold bottled in a shop, though you can just drink it straight; the valley town has a shop selling locally bottled wine – bring your own bottles for the very good wine, and the host gave us the address. The only thing missing was a small pool.

The place felt very atmospheric with stunning views, a house with character, and a helpful, friendly host. If you’re there for a weekend, definitely try the dinner they prepare – it was a true feast of delicious local products served perfectly and the best meal we had on the trip. We’d gladly return and having a car is essential because the road up to the house is steep and winding. Our group of six fit well, especially since there was only one bathroom. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves authentic spots with a unique vibe.

It was traumhaft schön. Toller Ort, urige und authentische Hütte. Anfahrt mit Enduro überhaupt kein Problem. Nette und hilfsbereite Leute. Ringsum nur Natur und Ruhe. Herrlich wars. Vielen Dank dafür.
