The staff were warm and the lake view was lovely, and the nightly social events helped meet people. However, the beds felt outdated; the blankets even had a musty, used‑clothes smell. They should add breakfast to offset the issue of having to leave the room for showers, which can be freezing outside.

The location is very strategic. Breakfast should be offered. Bed cleanliness needs improvement—one bed I used had a bad odor. The bed rails are nearly impossible to climb or descend, with no handholds, making falls likely; several guests experienced the same issue. There was no curtain for extra privacy in the bed area, and the lamp on the upper bed’s rail had no bulb.

The spot is spot‑on – right where you want to be. The only hiccup was getting to the hostel and finding the bed still occupied, which was a bit awkward. Otherwise, location wins.

The indoor bar really helps guests mingle, and the fireplace is just perfect for cozy evenings. Staff were friendly and on point. The only downside? The kitchen gear feels a little skimpy.
