I enjoyed the cabin and its view, plus it has its own toilet and bath; you can sit outside and simply admire the scenery. Breakfast was good, and the lady at the restaurant is kind, though she doesn’t speak English at all. Nothing much to do in the area, there are no cabinets or hangers for clothes, and there’s no kettle in the room, which is basic. I stayed for 5 days but no one collected the garbage; I just kept it outside, which isn’t proper.

The host’s kindness and the location in the centre of Ta Van village are great. The breakfast was very limited with few options; other choices are available à la carte and paid. The bungalow’s cleanliness is average, and there is no storage for belongings.

The owner is responsive and helpful, and the site is very quiet at night; the bungalows sit away from the street in a small garden oasis. They are kind and helpful, even giving me a mattress heating pad last night because it was cool. The bed is pretty hard, but I managed; I was offered a bungalow with a softer bed but I stuck with mine because of the larger bathroom. Beds and minor features vary between bungalows, but they offered me a choice. I also wish there was a way to hang shirts—there’s no closet or hanging structure in the bungalow except a few pegs in the bathroom. Don’t let this stop you; otherwise it’s clean, quiet and nice.

The staff responded very quickly and did their best. The house was very atmospheric, though it can be a bit cold, but fortunately you have a heating blanket. The view over the surrounding rice terraces no longer matches perfectly because of new small buildings built next to the house, although this isn’t disturbing.
