I stayed in a studio with a private entrance, and the property is surrounded by a large olive grove. There is no air conditioning, but that wasn’t a problem given the time of year.

The room was clean and tidy, and the accommodation was good.

The property was very beautiful, but in early October we couldn't eat in the restaurant or use the bar because it was closed, and the hotel was completely shut down from the first of October.

We booked a double room for 6 nights at the Hotel Sant'Anna Del Volterraio, but the bathroom had serious hygiene problems: large mold patches on the ceiling, heavy limescale and rust on the shower fixtures, and obvious traces of previous occupants in the fridge and on the floor. Because of these conditions the hotel cannot be recommended despite its nice location, so we decided to cut the trip short after 4 nights.
