Claudia was amazing, giving us tips on places to visit, sights to see, and how to get there. The breakfast and the hotel restaurant were incredible—so good you’d rather miss a meal in KL. The rooms are pretty bare bones, just enough space for a bed and a hallway to the bathroom; that’s fine for backpackers, but if you expect a proper hotel room, they feel a bit small.

The place is clean, modern, and comfortable, and it’s very accessible with the monorail and MRT stations within walking distance. There’s a 7/11 and many cute cafés nearby, and the downstairs restaurant is good too. Syaff is super friendly. City view rooms can be noisy at night, with a lot of car noise and a busy street right in front; I brought earplugs so it didn’t bother me much.

There was a foul smell in the bathroom, the room felt old, there was no storage, the window looked out onto a wall and the space was dark.

The location was really solid, and it’s also very close to the Sultan Ismail train stop. The staff was super helpful, sorting out a slight booking issue with no stress. The rooms were very simple, yet clean and comfortable—perfect for a solo 1/2 night trip. No issues; it would have been nice to have access to some facilities, but for the price and value, really cannot complain.
