The service was good, meals were served at the table, and the staff were very helpful. Nothing else to add.

A great stop‑off pub with food and lodging on our way back from Devon. The carpark is large. The room is very comfy, the shower is good, the pub offers tasty food and drink, and breakfast is delicious. However, from midnight until about 3‑4 am there was loud music—probably from a pop‑up party van in the carpark—and no staff were on site overnight to stop it. Despite this one‑off issue, we’d return as it serves well as a halfway stop‑off.

On a Friday night when the pub was busy, the service was excellent; everyone was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The pizzas were good, the room was clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Parking was plentiful. We stayed because the wedding venue recommended it for guests, but the room was uncomfortably small and the bathroom tiny—smaller than a caravan’s! The pub’s popularity was clear, but the layout and overall crowd would likely make it hard for wedding guests to gather comfortably.

The room was lovely and the bed really comfortable. Staff were professional and helpful. It was a shame we couldn’t book a table; we chose the hotel for its restaurant but couldn’t secure a seat even after trying in advance. The pizza we ate was excellent, but we had to eat it in our room.
