“GOOD”
The staff were super friendly and helpful. We booked the larger double‑bed room, so there was enough space, although it wasn’t huge. The free amenities on the first floor are a nice touch. The room was clean but nothing special. They also have “free” washing and drying machines, which work fine, but you have to pay ¥100 for detergent and another ¥100 for softener, so the laundry isn’t completely free. Overall, a great value‑for‑money room. The hotel’s exterior, lobby, and hallways have been renovated and look new and modern, but the rooms still have old furniture and appliances, so it isn’t a new hotel as shown in the pictures. The staff were super friendly and helpful, but their English was very limited, which was a bit surprising given Okinawa’s popularity and the large US military presence. When we entered the room there was a musty smell, and that smell returned on a few random days during our stay. There was also a bad odor from the toilet drain on some days. The Wi‑Fi was poor in the rooms and would automatically disconnect after some time. I saw cockroaches three times near the elevator entrance. After that, I checked the reviews and saw that some guests had found cockroaches in their rooms, so I guess we were lucky that we didn’t encounter any inside our room. The most important issue: the room is cleaned for free only ONCE if you stay for more than a week. This is really unacceptable, especially since other hotels in Japan generally offer regular room cleaning as part of the stay.
