They’re improving now; after the remodel it seemed to decline. When I booked during the renovation I wasn’t warned about the construction. Last week I stayed there and had to shout after lingering in the lobby with no night clerk and no one answering the phone. Eventually I think I woke the night clerk who was in the common area. Dustin handled my double room charge nicely last night. Staffing seems to be the main issue now. The hotel itself is gorgeous.

Breakfast was excellent, but the pool was non‑functional.

The walk‑in shower was great, and the bed was comfortable. Oatmeal was too runny, and they should offer scrambled eggs, bacon, and higher‑quality sausage. I was also surprised to learn it was smoke‑free only after I arrived.

The hotel was filthy because of construction, rooms were noisy, and other guests were rude; the staff seemed indifferent to our discomfort.
