Located at the foot of Loyal Hill, the Lands of Loyal Hotel overlooks Alyth, 2 golf courses, and the rolling farmland of the Vale of Strathmore. This Victorian-era hotel features a grand hall and an acclaimed restaurant, open daily for lunch and dinner, welcoming non-residents. It's an ideal base for exploring Perthshire and Angus, with easy access to the Cateran walking trail and nearby Glamis and Scone castles.

Everything - this is exactly what we’ve been looking for in a hotel! Absolutely dripping in character, spectacular lounge with rooms in a gallery and showpiece staircase. Lovely bedrooms, dining rooms and beautiful garden. Xhosa and her staff are charming and welcoming. We can hardly wait to return!. Shower pressure on first floor not ideal but this is a period property and hardly a major issue!

Super cosy and welcoming, a step back in time, old-fashioned in a good way, every room is a delight. So relaxing, we wished we could stay longer. The evening meal was good and reasonably priced with a good choice of meat, fish, chicken and vegetarian options. Don’t be put off by the rather worn entrance and adjacent window: the door in the paneling opens into a magic world!

Scottish Period Piece of History. Good food & Service. Very attractive. A long way from Calais

Die Empfangshalle ist der Hammer. Das Frühstück war nicht so gut. Fresh fruit salat waren Dosenbirnen und corn flakes in Pappschachteln war nicht so einladend
