I arrived well before the check‑in time, but the staff let me into the room without a hitch. I booked a pyramid tour through this hotel for the next day and the tour guide was very helpful and satisfied. The shower only produced water, which might have been a one‑time issue, and the drain had a slight odor that could be improved.

The spot right in front of the pyramids is unbeatable, and the room was spotless with daily housekeeping that only asked for a tip. Breakfast on the balcony gave a great view of the pyramids. However, we didn’t feel safe at all; people outside kept lying about road closures as soon as we left, saying we were going the wrong way. The only reliable way to arrange activities is through the owner, not the staff, and the security was weak with click‑lock bedroom doors.

Uncle Ahmed was incredibly helpful and always there when we needed him in Cairo. He even stored our bags for free until our flight. The Wi‑Fi, though, didn’t work properly, and the cleaning could have been better.

The location is fantastic, with a clear view of the pyramids from the bedroom window, and the room itself was clean. The owner organized excellent tours, and it’s best to book only through him for safety. We still felt unsafe in Egypt overall; local horse‑cart people would lie about road closures and claim police presence. The Elite hotel is a solid choice, but Egypt was intense for us. We also used the Marriott two minutes away for a spa massage and some English meals when we wanted. I’d recommend the hotel, but we probably won’t go back to Giza.

The place is great, just a few minutes from the pyramids, and the view is incredible. The room was dirty with a lot of long hair everywhere, and some facilities were old and malfunctioning. We had trouble with the door; Ahmed helped us open it, but he broke the handle because it wouldn’t open. They blamed us for closing it the wrong way and demanded payment, claiming the owner would charge them otherwise. The hotel owner should have protocols for such situations.
