“Établissement correct dans l ensemble !”
The room and breakfast were good.
Decent but sufficient for a few days in Chiang Rai.
Very good location. The room is extremely small, mattresses on the floor, no window. The accommodation is above a bar, so it’s noisy.
“overall, stay elsewhere”
The location is great, right next to the Night Bazaar and about a 2‑minute walk from bus terminal 1, which is where you arrive or leave if coming from Chiang Mai. The price is good if you’re only planning to stay in Chiang Rai for a few days (we did 2 nights, arrived in the evening on the first day and then did a full day tour, so we barely used the hostel). The twin room is just mattresses on the floor, and the room has no window, which probably explains why it smelled damp. We had some ants come into our room too. The bathroom facilities are questionable – I'd say the bathroom on the second floor is a lot better, though the showers are not fab. I would also say that they are barely cleaned. The noise from the bar below is ridiculous and every time we walked through, nobody was in there!
“A fuir (même 1 nuit c'est trop)”
The location is top, in the center of the city’s temples. It’s just opposite a night market, with bars and scooter rentals nearby. The fact that they were honest and refunded the 4 nights we canceled is a plus. The cleanliness is nonexistent, it’s really dirty. The cleaning never seems to be done; everything is grimy, especially the sanitary area. There were hair from former guests in the room, nose‑waddles, coffee stains, and one shower out of the two was broken. This place is not hygienically safe, even for the price. The lodging is in a bar, so it’s very noisy at night and not great for security, since guests only need to climb a few steps to reach the rooms. It’s really disappointing; it could have been very nice given the location, but no hygiene rules are respected.
