The location is fantastic, very central. The room was very spacious and the vegetarian breakfasts were available, though you couldn’t choose. The room lacked a wardrobe for your belongings, and the shower was unusable because it was full of mold and never cleaned. We paid for 10 days and had to shower in a communal bathroom that everyone, including staff, used.

Breakfast was good and always pre‑prepared. Each morning there was oatmeal or plain yogurt ready for everyone, sometimes a banana loaf or quiche. There was no choice of food, so I don’t know how people with intolerances are handled, probably they have to notify beforehand? That information would be useful from the host. Otherwise there was also bread with butter and cheese, fruit, juice and water. Guests could use the shared kitchen (except the stove and oven were reserved for chefs). For a fee, chilled drinks were available. The staff were very pleasant and organized different activities daily, such as trips, barbecues, yoga or surfing. Anyone who wanted could join without problem. The atmosphere at the accommodation is very family‑friendly and social, which may be pleasant for some but not everyone. The big disappointment for us was the bathroom with a toilet directly in the room that had no doors at all. That meant constant dampness in the room and basically zero privacy when using the toilet. Fortunately there was another toilet on the hallway for all guests, which at least saved the situation a bit. During our 9‑night stay we never had towels changed. Regarding room cleaning, only the trash bin was taken out daily. From what we could see in nearby rooms, we unfortunately probably got one of the smallest and least comfortable rooms. We had a small window that didn’t allow proper ventilation, and there were no wardrobes or hangers. The room had no air‑conditioning, which didn’t bother us much because a fairly powerful fan was available.

You’re greeted by young, cool people and feel at home. Breakfast is lovingly and truly tasty. Lots of options are offered. For example we took a surf lesson. You can also join excursions. The only downside is that it takes 20 minutes to walk to the beach, otherwise you’re dependent on a car.

From the moment I walked in, I knew this was my kind of place: the vibe was fantastic, there were cool activities like yoga, surfing, tours, and dinners, the people were lovely and friendly, and the breakfasts were superb. I especially liked my spacious room and the overall villa – the house smells so good! I’m seriously thinking of coming back for a longer stay.
