Tongariro Lodge is situated on 22 acres of secluded grounds, surrounded by a picturesque garden landscape and the tranquil Tongariro River. The lodge features 30 modern guest rooms with rustic touches, equipped with tea/coffee facilities, heating, and TV. The on-site restaurant serves traditional New Zealand cuisine by an open fire, 30 minutes from Mount Ruapehu and Taupo Airport, and 45 minutes from Tongariro National Park.

Great spot to unwind with beautiful grounds. The only issue was limited meal times and a small selection; I guess the staff were short, so we were eager to leave.

Quiet and peaceful place with a cute room and nice bathroom. The only drawback is the lack of amenities for guests, like no hair dryer.

I stayed in a quiet spot that was easy to reach by car, but the decor felt a bit dated and the bedding was just average, and dinner was served too early.
