“A charming hotel with traditional Chinese touches, helpful staff and a great location.”
It’s a charming, small boutique‑style hotel that incorporates traditional Chinese architectural touches and offers a warm atmosphere. The courtyard and fish pond add character, and the staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel was clean and well maintained. Initially, the breakfast selection seemed limited, but I genuinely enjoyed it, especially the fresh, tasty pastry and the other options available. The location is ideal for exploring Beijing’s main attractions, especially if you enjoy walking, and public transport is also nearby. Overall, a pleasant stay full of character. The only things that could improve the experience are a few suggestions: the courtyard pond is lovely, but there seemed to be too many fish for its size; fewer fish might create a more peaceful, natural, and traditional atmosphere, allowing guests to appreciate them better. Breakfast was enjoyable, but the menu could be more inclusive of different dietary needs. There was a strong emphasis on pork, with limited options for vegetarians, vegans, and those who avoid pork. Offering a wider variety of clearly labelled choices, such as chicken or beef dishes, would be a welcome improvement. These are just constructive suggestions, not major complaints, as I genuinely enjoyed my stay.
