The Sofitel lived up to the expectations of a 5‑star hotel; the initial issue with an overheating room (faulty AC) was handled immediately and we were moved to a cooler room that was also very clean and comfortable, with a separate toilet, and the bathroom was great. We even received a nice fruit platter as an apology for the inconvenience. The breakfast staff were very friendly and remembered our preferences after just one day (especially Nepi, who was very welcoming and attentive). However, despite the breakfast appearing extensive at first, there were several missing items: the only cold cuts were displayed without refrigeration each day, the cheeses were left open and sweating, the sushi platter had soy sauce but no small bowls to take it to the table, and the jam display lacked similar dishes. Bread was not refilled promptly on several occasions, and glasses for milk had to be fetched from the other side of the room beside the fruit juices. These details are unworthy of the Sofitel. There were only three sunbeds (one broken) and four covered cabins, which is far too few for such a large pool.

The phone was broken, so I had to go down to order room service, which took forever, and the phone was still not working. Very disappointing; I'm exhausted and this is a shitty hotel, sorry.
