Gasthof Einhorn Schaller, a newly renovated inn, sits beside the Inn River in Schwaz’s historic old town, just minutes from the A12 motorway. Rooms feature flat‑screen TVs and complimentary Wi‑Fi. The on‑site restaurant serves authentic Tyrolean dishes in intimate lounges, while free parking and river views enhance the tranquil alpine experience.

The staff were really friendly and the facilities were functional, though a bit dated. The on‑site restaurant was top‑notch.

The single room was lovely and well‑decorated, the breakfast area cozy and the food excellent. The downside? The shower only sprayed half the water, but it was probably fixed quickly.

We loved the family‑run vibe and the warm welcome. The Tyrolean dishes were the best we’ve had in Austria, and the communal balcony offered a view of a medieval castle. The only snag was that the town center had few dining options, so we ended up eating at the hotel every night.

Located on the edge of the old town, the hotel is still easy to reach by public transport—just a five‑minute walk to the city bus stop and a quarter‑hour to the train station. The rooms are pretty with very comfortable beds, and the breakfast is good with excellent coffee. What really stood out was the staff’s friendliness and effort to help guests. For the price in Schwaz, I can’t think of a better place.
