“Hostel environment”
The spot is well positioned—there’s a walkway that leads to the main road (which ends at tonzaken ramen), saving you from walking down the road and back up again if you want to reach the Hirafu gondola and welcome centre. I appreciated being picked up when I arrived on the last bus. The bed had a thin mattress that feels like springs. The rooms are small; I stayed in a triple room alone and it was just enough space for storage and hanging. It would feel cramped with 2–3 people. I could hear everything outside the room. There were only three showers, which weren’t busy when I wanted to shower, but I’m not sure if that was because they weren’t at peak capacity.
