“Not worth for what I paid”
The location is near, but it smells bad.

The Auroville Visitor Centre was within walking distance, which was convenient, and the staff were fairly friendly. The room had air conditioning, but it was broken or the cover was removed, leaving the machine exposed; I had never seen that before. I thought there would be no hot water, but just before checkout I found a switch behind a large mirror on the wall that seemed to control the water heater. I don't understand why the mirror was mounted in that spot.
The location is close to the Visitor Centre of Auroville, a 5‑minute walk, and near restaurants. The room is dark and expensive.

The room was clean and a good size, and I especially appreciated the large desk, which was very useful; there was also a small table for my suitcase. A mirror had been hung over the bathroom light switch, and it needs to be moved a few inches to the left so the switch can be accessed easily.
