The lovely old house is beautifully maintained and furnished; we had an ultra‑spacious, comfortable room and loved the bathroom, especially the heated towel rail, and the staff were great, with nothing to complain about.

I stumbled upon this place and it turned out to be a real treasure for anyone who loves a certain style; the welcome felt like being a house guest, with Clive, Kenneth and the entire crew being kind, helpful, discreet yet very friendly. The evening was warmed by a fire in the sitting room, and there were a dining room, a library, a games room, a small honesty bar, plus a garden and rooftop pool deck all available to guests. My room was tastefully furnished, featured a large bathroom, and had lovely touches such as candles, bath salts, homemade flapjacks and snacks. The turn‑down service and the beautifully served breakfast were also highlights. St. James and Kalk Bay are within walking distance, offering many small shops, galleries, cafés and restaurants. All in all, it was a relaxing and truly enjoyable stay.

I booked for the wrong date and showed up a day early, yet they still welcomed me and it was absolutely wonderful. The facilities were fantastic, the bed was warm and comfy, the bathroom was great, the breakfast excellent, the staff charming, the views fantastic, it was a short walk to Kalk Bay, and the parking was good. I highly recommend this place and will return.

The location is great, the view superb, the facilities excellent, and the staff, especially Allan, were very helpful; the breakfast was also very good.
