I wasn’t given my room number, so I couldn’t enter. The shared bath was cramped; a single person couldn’t stretch a hand to the side.

I found a used tissue under the pillow of one of the beds, and the bin still had old rubbish in it.

The location is super convenient, but the room was absolutely filthy: as soon as I opened the door, hair was everywhere on the floor, the sheets, pillowcases, and even the bed itself were dirty, and the whole room smelled moldy, including the AC. The room type differed completely from the photos, it was dark and tiny, and the property only has three floors with about ten rooms, yet there are only two showers, which is very inconvenient. The self‑check‑in process makes it hard to contact staff if anything goes wrong. Seeing this review, don't book this place—overall it was terrible.

The only good thing was the location, but the cleanliness was lacking; the room I stayed in had a strong animal smell.

The location is superb – you can’t get more central for this price. It’s right next to a metro entrance and all the big tourist spots in Asakusa. The beds were comfortable; I had a single bunk bed with plenty of space, and it would have been fine even for two people. However, a few things fell short. I could hear everything that happened on my floor; if people in the adjacent room moved something I could hear it. The communal sinks were in the hallway right across my door, so when people blew their hair it sounded like they were in my room, even at 12:30 a.m. A sign reminding guests to be quiet in the communal areas might help. Hygiene wasn’t great either; after a day out I noticed the toilet paper had a new triangle fold, yet there was still a lot of hair on the hallway floor. The second night I moved my backpack against the wall and found an ant colony crawling out of the plinths – this is unacceptable, and with no staff on site I couldn’t report it. The ants stayed in place and didn’t crawl all over the room, but there shouldn’t have been any ants at all.
