“Geweldig verblijf”

The location was top, cozy host, great room with a wonderful bed. What was super sweet was that Nelli had a very early breakfast ready for us to take on the way to the airport. In the evening we enjoyed a drink on the rooftop terrace. Nothing else.

Great location. Clean room and well‑furnished. It was unpleasant to find personal items moved and placed in places where cleanliness wasn’t essential; we would have preferred at least a replacement of the shower mat because the shower is structured in a way that it gets completely wet.

The location is perfect, on the water where you can walk calmly, restaurants around the corner. You catch the boat to Valletta right there. The view of Valletta is also stunning and it’s very quiet. The room is very nice, freshly decorated with paintings, etc., and it’s quiet, I didn’t hear my neighbors. The rooftop terrace is also nice to just sit with a coffee or a book, though it gets very hot in summer so be ready for the heat. If you’re traveling by bus, it’s right outside the door. The mattress was good, not too hard or too soft. I was a bit fighting with the air‑conditioning, it does keep you from blowing away but it makes a lot of noise, even on the gentle setting. A ceiling fan might help a lot. Also, think about not bringing too much luggage, there are some stairs up, it can be a challenge with a heavy suitcase. Room 4 didn’t have a rain shower, no problem because you have a hand shower but a pole to hang it on so you can stand under it is nice. The spray is strong, shampoo comes out of your hair haha. The neighborhood residents are also early risers, around 6 a.m. they’re at the café downstairs, not super noisy but someone might sing their singing talents.

The owner was very friendly, kind and helpful. You could always message her if you needed anything, and she was happy to help. The room was very cute and just the right size for us, and the bathroom was spacious enough. The air conditioning was also a big plus. The room was cleaned nicely, and the housekeeper came every day during our stay. We really appreciated that. All the staff we met were very friendly and welcoming. The location also has good public transport connections. The bus stop is right below the B&B, and there is a ferry to Valletta just a 2-minute walk away. This was very convenient. Even though breakfast was not being served during our stay, we managed just fine. We could also keep our own food in the fridge, which was useful. The only small downside was that there was a slight “chlorine” smell in the room whenever we first entered. The apartment is quite far from the main attractions. It takes around 45 minutes to get to Valletta by bus. However, this was partly our own fault because we didn’t check the location carefully enough before booking
