Luxury Lodge - Lener Express

The train room was gorgeous and unique, and the overall building and Spa area were beautiful. However, the train room felt colder than the rest of the space, as if the heating was off—maybe a malfunction. The pool had the same issue; staying in winter, it would have been nicer if the water were a bit warmer.

The accommodation was unusual and seemed very pleasant at first glance. The maximum temperature in the wagon was 18 °C, the kitchen had plates but no pots or kettle, and if you didn’t book half‑board you were treated like a pariah—despite the high price, we were turned away at dinner because half‑board guests had priority. Our granddaughter, despite prior warnings about milk and egg allergies, was served a vegetable broth and then had a severe allergic reaction, indicating the food was contaminated.

A lovely adventure to stay on a train. The hotel’s location was unclear on Google Maps, and I didn’t try the breakfast.

I stayed on the Orient Express and the room was fantastic—beautiful details and a comfortable bed. But the playground and a ping‑pong table were right outside, so there was no peace and quiet. Many families with children created a loud atmosphere, especially late at night from the playground and table, and the breakfast was very noisy with lots of toddlers. It’s better suited for families than couples.

The accommodation was stylish and luxurious in the Orient Express‑style wagon, super cool for kids (and adults too). The beds were comfortable.
