“We recommend this motel”
The location was good, the place was clean, and the staff were friendly.
“Overpriced for what you get”
It sat conveniently right by the highway, but the price was too high for a subpar motel experience. Odd people roamed the parking lot, the bed felt like it was made of metal debris, and the indoor pool was just air—classic Motel 6 vibes that should have cost around $50.
“Nda agradable”
Nothing positive, nothing negative.
YUCK
“Absolutely Horrible Experience.”
There was nothing likable about this property. We booked last minute for a quick family trip to Salem without checking reviews, arrived at a lot overgrown with weeds, and found the parking area being used as a mechanic shop for a bus, with signs everywhere urging us to lock up. The hotel staff were smoking outside, and we were asked for our daughters’ names at check‑in. In the room, the door took a long time to open because the key‑card system barely worked. The single light that worked flickered and made a popping noise when I tried turning it on between the beds, and the outlet was loose in the wall. The beds were stained, the floor sticky, there was something that looked like blood on the wall, and old gum or something on the floor; the bathroom was just okay. My children wouldn’t stay the night, and we didn’t want to either. We told the front desk about the room and asked for a different one, but they said we would get a refund and we left. While heading to our car in the middle of the lot, I saw a grown man urinating in the parking lot and shouted at him as my fiancé rushed the kids to the vehicle. We were charged twice for a room we only used for three minutes and never got a refund. This place needs to be demolished and the corporate office should be warned about how bad it is. We drove a mile down the road to the Best Western Plus and had a great stay there.
