The place was good, with an excellent host, and you can get a little glimpse of real life. It was also safe. Only some rooms are non‑smoking, but you can sort that out a bit in advance :)

I had a fantastic time at Sami's place, thanks to his warm hospitality and engaging conversations. The room was spotless and the bed was super comfy. The lobby's a great spot to relax, with plenty of space to unwind and enjoy a cup of coffee or catch up on the news. Plus, the location's perfect for exploring Aqabat Jabr and Jericho city center is just a short walk away.

Our stay at this hostel was made all the more enjoyable by the friendly owners, who even invited us to join them for Iftar. The beds were clean and comfy, and we appreciated the free WiFi and hot water. If you're looking to explore Jericho, just be aware that the location's actually in Aqabat Jaber, a bit of a trek from the city center.

Despite being in a rough part of town, Sami Hostel is a hidden gem. I've been lucky enough to visit twice, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to stay here. The rooms are clean, the air conditioning works, and there's hot water available – it's all I need. The staff might not always smile, but they've got hearts of gold. I was even allowed to check out at 4 am without any fuss, which was a huge help. If you want to experience Palestine under occupation, this is the place to do it.

This place was okay for a one-night stay in Jericho, but it's not the best option if you're planning to spend more time in the city. It's a bit of a hike from the center, so it's best to grab a cab to get here. And, unfortunately, the hostel had a strong smell of cigarette smoke everywhere. The kitchen and bathroom were also pretty grimy.
