“Not my choice for the next time”

The room was spotless and the dive shops for Sipadan or Mabul are just a few meters away, plus there’s a 7‑11 right next door. The front desk could really work on their smiles; the young lady looked annoyed and wasn’t very welcoming. The room had a bunch of signs telling you what you can’t do in the hotel. Checking out was a drag because they had to inspect the room, and overall it didn’t feel worth the price.

The location made it easy to play and eat, but the cleanliness could use some work.

“You can almost certainly do better than this at the price. We did not feel at all valued as guests.”

The room was fine and the bed was comfy. The front desk staff weren’t very friendly and didn’t try to engage guests; they just did their job. It’s clear they’re not used to high‑profile guests, so they go to great lengths to tell people how to behave and not steal equipment. On our first stay they wouldn’t hand over my daughter’s luggage until they finished inspecting the room, and on the second stay they were hesitant to let us leave until the inspection was done. They also didn’t try to help with luggage. We received vouchers for breakfast at one of three restaurants, but the options were very limited. The first morning we tried it and got bananas, a soggy microwaved croissant without butter or jam, and a cup of instant coffee. The coffee shop had better choices, but those weren’t covered by the voucher.

“Avoid if possible”

Stained bedding and moldy toilets. Staffs are rude and there are little to no facilities
