“Rip off”

The location is good, but the owner is a rip of liar … we had no toilet seat ( was broken) , we had no internet ( had to buy our own) and on the last few days, we have to charge the tap water if we wanted to take a shower… The lady doesn’t even answer a call, maybe 2 times… she promises everything, but didn’t do anything about any problems. “Wonderful stay !!!”

I appreciate how close the place is to Davao airport and Samal Island Wharf, and the property has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a washing machine that guests can use—though I didn’t need it, it’s handy. The hot & cold water dispenser was a bonus, and cooking is possible with all utensils provided. It’s a two‑bedroom setup, and a family friend stayed with me for a night without any issues from Jennalyn, the owner. The downside is the toilet flushing system was broken, forcing me to use a “mop bucket” to deal with it; the owners offered to fix it but I was touring daily and kept using the bucket. I also missed a hair dryer and a towel rack/hook in the bathroom.

“Beware.”

Beware. We were a family with an infant, arrived with luggage, and when we reached the room other guests were already inside that same day. It was chaotic; the owner didn’t know why they were there. When we asked the guest, she said the property was listed on Facebook and the confirmation was on the same date, which was very inconvenient. The owner offered an alternative room, so we accepted because we had already wasted time getting to the location and it was raining late at night. The alternative room was not worth the price we paid.

The accommodation was clean and well‑located near the airport, the mattresses were excellent, and the value for money was very good. However, at booking we didn’t receive the tour or apartment number and there was no reception service. Arriving in the Philippines, we had no network to call the owner, so at 9 pm it was hard to access the lodging.
