The little pool had a shallow end for kids, which was very handy. Cleaning was quick and efficient. The reception staff helped with taxi orders and gave good recommendations. It’s very close to a beach, restaurants and shops, which is convenient. The hill leading up to the property is unbelievably steep; walking up and down is hard, especially in the heat. The lift was broken, which was only annoying for breakfast on the roof. The bathrooms in the family rooms were tiny, more like a wet room, making showering with kids difficult. I was scolded for trying to bring an apple downstairs after breakfast for my son who wasn’t feeling well.

The welcome was fine, the room was clean, the breakfast offered a wide variety, and having a car parking spot plus a pool was a plus. For a 4‑star hotel, the sink was cracked and the power socket was exposed, which was a bit concerning.

“Not good”

The bed was comfortable, the place was spacious enough with a decent shower, and the balcony was okay. The free buffet breakfast, which I had high hopes for after reading other reviews, had a very limited selection and most items looked reused from previous days; the fruit was dried out and the pastries were stale. The location shown in the photos appears closer to the beach than it actually is. It’s on a very steep hill, so even moderate fitness makes it a struggle. The elevator hasn’t worked for some time. Towels were very old and worn. Daily cleaning seemed mandatory with no option to decline. The sun‑beds and pool looked dirty. The rooftop bar seemed deserted. It’s a long walk to the lively side of restaurants and bars, all very hilly. The walls are extremely thin, so I was woken at 7 am daily from breakfast upstairs and often at 2 am by very noisy neighbours.

“Solider Aufenthalt in guter Lage”

The location is really good: several beaches, beach bars and restaurants are within walking distance, the nearest beach is only about 2 minutes away. You can also walk about 10–15 minutes to Ksamil Beach and the kayaks heading to the Twin Islands. The room was clean, was cleaned regularly and we received fresh towels daily. The staff were friendly, the pool was clean and more than adequate for us. The rooftop terrace is beautifully done and offers a good view of the sea, beach bars, etc. Breakfast is rather small but fresh and absolutely fine for the size of the hotel. Our Deluxe double room with balcony and sea view was basically fine, but it didn’t fully meet our expectations for a 4‑star hotel in this price range. We had stayed in the same room category at a cheaper 3‑star hotel in Dhermi, Albania, where the overall impression was noticeably higher quality. The places and hotels are only somewhat comparable, but we simply expected a bit more here. A second toaster/sandwich toaster at breakfast would be handy to avoid waiting times. It’s important to know that the hotel sits on a very steep slope. With a car the access was fine for us, but walking is quite sporty. Those with limited mobility should consider this before booking. On wet days we would rather use the side stairs.

The location near the beach was good. The bar had a privileged view of the beach, but it wasn’t working. There were only two staff members for both hotels, which hurt the service. Breakfast could be better. I found the amenities and service offered to be expensive.
