The place sits quietly and has large rooms, and communication via WhatsApp was clear; however it feels a bit like a faded glory, poorly maintained, with unclear restaurant hours and most staff not very helpful.

Breakfast was fine and the outlook good but located up a narrow path a fair distance. There was really only one staff member available doing heroic duty with a phone translator to serve any requirements

Nothing. The premises was run down No staff. Only 3 unqualified youngsters. Some common areas dirty with trash laying around. No restaurant also we were the only guest on this big property

The pool was nice, but we only got two towels for four people, leaving one room without towels or toilet paper. It felt overpriced for what it was, dinner arrived cold and we never received any drink suggestion. The room was full of mosquitoes, the ceiling was so high that the vapour‑cleaner couldn’t reach, and the overall result was disappointing.

The view of Mount Ijen and the proximity to the beach for a trip to Tabuhan Island were great, and the rooms were very large and clean. The pool and gardens were also beautiful. However, the air felt stale, some areas looked abandoned, and a few spots were a bit dirty.
