The location is central, just minutes from the subway and shops. The rooftop terrace offers a great view of Namsan Tower. The owner is very kind, helpful, and speaks fluent English. Towels are changed daily, and guests have access to a washer, iron, and a well-equipped kitchen. A welcome kit is available, including a hair dryer and power adapters. The climb to the building is steep, especially with luggage. Some rooms have windows that don’t let in light due to nearby buildings. Daily cleaning is fine, but a deeper clean—screens, curtains, walls—would help. The bathroom is Korean-style, without a bidet, and has an open shower.

The location is excellent, the staff are helpful, and the rooftop deck is a highlight.

The constant uphill climb is a drawback, even though it can serve as a workout.

The location is great if you don’t mind walking uphill for 10 minutes, as the access is quite inconvenient and the streets are a bit dark. Breakfast is standard: toast with butter and jam, cereals, and coffee. Check‑in is only by phone; if you arrive late, they leave the keys in the mailbox. The accommodation is old and neglected, with dampness and many defects. Sound insulation between rooms is poor. Our room’s window faced a wall less than 20 cm away, and the bathroom’s window faced the stairwell, so ventilation was almost nonexistent, causing odor and humidity buildup. The futons were uncomfortable; we’ve slept on others without issue, but these were quite bad. Also, when booking, there was an option for two beds, which I selected, but it appears that option doesn’t exist.

The location is ideal for those who aren’t afraid of climbs, the street is quiet, and the kitchen area is appreciated. The futons aren’t very thick, and the curtains aren’t either.
