“Мой первый раз в Тбилиси”
The hosts are honest, helpful, and nice. The location is excellent, and the same building has a fruit and dairy shop where I bought flat, sweet peaches for 6 lari per kg, cream for 20 lari per kg, and homemade cottage cheese for 10 lari per kg. Near the road to the train station there are many shops and cafés; I liked the café Mapshalia, but it closed a few days before my departure. The metro and train station are a 10‑minute walk away. At Marjanishvili metro there’s a beautiful theatre and a bridge over the Kura River. The metro lets you reach different parts of Tbilisi quickly; at the technical university station there’s a Koton store where I bought long shell earrings for 7 lari, and at Iseri station there’s a large clothing shop “Marina” where I bought a sweater for 8 lari. The train station hosts a big bazaar and there are minibuses to Tbilisi’s sea. I liked the city more than Moscow. The room had no window, which might explain why it was the cheapest; you should check that in advance. Thanks to the hosts for letting me keep the door open to ventilate, because I often open windows at home and need fresh air.
