The room was clean, but the mattresses on both beds were horrible; I couldn't lie down and eventually slept in the chair.

The front desk was locked, so I had to ring a bell; the person who answered was in pajamas and asked if I wanted to get inside while I stood there with my luggage. I told him I needed to check in, but he acted like I wasn’t welcome. He had my credit card and US ID, and he asked how I traveled to Lake City and where I was coming from, then I had to give my home address. In the morning, the so‑called breakfast was a disgrace—nobody was tending to it, and the same man in pajamas showed up and sat there until I left. At 10:00 he was still walking dogs in pajamas, people were checking out, and he remained in a “just out of bed” state. His condescending attitude, fake smile, and refusal to hand anything to me or take anything from me made me feel like I was being detained by ICE. The fact that he is Indian and I’m Jamaican, both foreigners, didn’t help; it seemed his high‑class attitude kicked in because he thought I wasn’t wealthy. He judged me unfairly.
